Technical Issue!

AsperJosh has suffered a heavy impact. Every picture on every post before the Africa one has been lost due to an album online becoming corrupted.
I have almost every picture stored across 2 laptops and will slowly begin to re-upload them to my posts over a long period of time!
I will be starting from latest posts and work backwards to re-upload the pictures.
Thank you for understanding!
Joshua :'(

My Battle With Anxiety (Mental Health Awareness 2018)

I've been planning this for months on how to get my message across so, so I came up with this idea for Mental Health Awareness week! I don't know what to gain from this (even my Facebook post on my Timeline) but I guess I just want to vent out some feelings that have affected me most of last year which is why I put the blog on hiatus and have been trying to get back into it slowly whilst also working on Photography editing at the same time as life just being busy.
So here I'm expressing lots of feelings I've had inside for a while but also stating how things are still okay in my life. *Picture taken, edited and comissioned superbly by Jamie Flack (Cat&Crown Artwork)* <3

MCM London Comic-Con, October 2017

Yeah I know it’s late but with my first MCM Birmingham coming up this weekend, I figured I’d best share what London’s MCM was like in October. I got to spend 3 days doing photoshoots with friends and new ones whilst staying up in a hotel alone (next time will be with my Con group). I've been all over the place most of last year since this was finished on 15th March 2018 (despite programming this post for a past date). But I aim to finally begin returning here to write up some delayed work and explain what I've been up to in 2017 and 2018.
Anyway without going on and on, here’s what I got up to at MCM London’s October Comic-Con 2017!

What I Have Been Up To (July - August Brief Recap)

Some of you might have been wondering "Where has Josh gone to?"
Well truth be told, I've been taking an unexpected and long break from AsperJosh and been enjoying myself with friends, life and achievements. And recently, it's been dawning on me for a while as to how I can get back to this and how to turn it from a stressful routine and back to the casual and short and sweet style from which it was built upon. Here's a short post about what I've been up to and what I have in store.

Ash & Ben's Summer London Meet-Up (August 2017)

The first weekend of August was one of the best Saturdays I've had all year and is one of this year's biggest highlights. Thanks to Ash and Ben for an incredible day out in Hyde Park with other Comic-Con fwends I know too and I felt so equal to everyone during the day of silly shenanigans.
Nothing but fwends, photography, nerds, gaming and wagamama goodness in the sunshine (with a slight chance of scattered showers) ha. This is my lift up from an anxious July and I got to hang out with amazing company outside of Con!

My Late 24th Birthday

My birthday week has been mixed and eventful but the weekend ended on a good night out in Brighton. And I did enjoy a catchup with my old group whom I haven't seen since last October's Tough Mudder. Anyway, here's what happened in the first week of June.

MCM London Comic-Con, May 2017 + 100,000 Total Views!

This time at Con, it's been much better than past visits! I've actually enjoyed myself, acted more confident whilst still polite when asking for photos with people and I've seen a load of my friends briefly across both days. I may not had been recognised as a Human version of Mewtwo as I'd hoped but going up as a Photographer too was definitely the right course of action to have had more fun and begin a future career and my upcoming Photography Facebook page! Here's what I got up to at May's MCM London Comic-Con 2017! And also to thank all my readers and friends for helping my blog reach a whopping and unbelievable 100,000 Total Views!!!!!!! <3

Creating My Mewtwo Scientist Pokemon Cosplay

This has been quite a challenge in the name of Cosplay. I wanted to go for something outstanding and unique to the common Deadpool and Harley Quinns etc. So I found a Fan-Art design for my favourite Pokemon and decided to give this a try for May 2017's Comic-Con and I think it's turned out rather well! Here's how I achieved it.

Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus (Game Review)

Abe's second adventure is much darker than his first unexpected journey where he had to had to save his fellow brethren from ending up on the menu.
This time, Abe will lean or a twisted plot involving the bones of his ancestors. The Glukkons are up to no good again and only Abe can restore peace to the dead and rescue even more Mudoken than before. This is Abe's Exoddus.

My Good, Bad and Awkward Views on Facebook

To commemorate National Autism Awareness for April, I've decided to share my thoughts on my actions and behaviour with one of the biggest social media's on the internet. I want to disclose my thoughts as to what I feel whenever I try to interact on Facebook because a lot of the time, these feelings make me ill and paranoid and affect my views on friends and life. Or I could just be over analysing everything ha.
I'm quite scared about this but I feel that it'll help others as well as myself understand how interacting on a screen is different to the real world and how there are mixed reactions to everything that we choose to do.

Milano Realy Marathon (Dolby Vivisol, Italy 2017)

Last weekend, I had a great 3 day free trip to Milan, Italy where I joined my newfound colleagues from the offices and participated with them in the Sunday Milano Relay Marathon for Dolby Vivisol. My training really paid off and it was quite an experience. Here's what happened on the first weekend of April!

8 Weeks With A New Haircut

8 Weeks ago, my sister Rebecca and her friend Francesca said I'd look good with a new hairstyle that they both chose for me. And ever since, I had loads of compliments, been getting more noticed and people saying it suits me. So I've been waxing, styling and combing (not too vainly) and been enjoying how short my hair has been and how one little change can make you look and feel more older and cooler than before!

Volunteering At The Nuts Challenge, March 2017

Last Sunday was actually my first time volunteering with friends at an event that I was surprisingly comfortable with. And I'm really looking forward to attempting a different Mud Assault Course with a new team that I've grown rather fond of over a year.
Anyway, here's why I volunteered with my friend from Bootcamp at The Nuts Challenge near Holmwood.

Pokemon Go 2nd Generation Day Out In Brighton + Purdew's Birthday, February 2017

Last weekend was a great Saturday when the sun came out and Franklin decided that we should head to Brighton to hunt the recently updated Pokemon Go 2nd Generation release. It sounds a little childish and eccentric, but it was an excellent day and the fun continued in the evening as loads of us celebrated Purdew's birthday at his place. I've got more posts lined up soon but here I'm showing off my collection with one of my best friends in Brighton.

Happy 3rd Anniversary, AsperJosh!

My pride and joy turns 3 years old today! And it's almost 1/4 away from reaching 100,000 Total Views ever! Wow, last year really has pulled off with venting out feelings, reviewing stuff and just showing what I achieved in the year. I hope that my words encourage others but also remind myself of just how lucky I really am, despite how mixed I sometimes feel.
I understand I started the year off with a mixed feeling New Years post but this post is a much more uplifting and positive post to not only celebrate 3 Years of AsperJosh but to state how things are really looking up and 2017 might be the year of change for me!

New Year - New Me (2017)

2017 is going to be the year where I'll begin focusing on myself and to take my mind off of the wrong things. To get back into the long delayed future that is IT (through all the anxiety and procrastination this past year and a half). I'll be expressing some dark feelings that I've had all year despite all the accomplishments that I've achieved this year because as great as they are and I am, I do have these feelings consistently.
But first, let's not forget to mention my New Years fun at Matt's! Happy New 2017, everybody!!!

Christmas Holidays 2016

Christmas is a great time of year where everyone makes the effort to get together and buy gifts for everyone out of generosity and kindness, it's why I love this season a lot. Even if it's all stressful on the workload, limited time on offerings and prices go up, I still always do my best to buy meaningful and personal gifts for friends and family. Here's my Christmas 2016.

My 2016 South Africa Adventure (Trailer and Full Length Video)

Well, it's finally finished!!!
I've been putting this on hold for several months but I finally bucked up and got to work on this little beauty of wonder and nostalgia. I think I made this not only to show you all what me and my friends / family experienced but it was also the start of something in both awakening the "spirit of adventure" within me but also to reawaken the IT skill that I'd buried since leaving College.
I hope you all enjoy my work and I've encouraged you all to visit this magnificent land for yourselves, if I can do it... then so can you!

Family and Photography On The Isle Of Man (November 2016)

Me return to the Isle Of Man was a success in both photography as well as seeing my loving relatives and friends again in my week away. I saw the same breath-taking starry night as I did in September 2009 at a Mills's first Birthday that I went to and I saw the stars in the countryside at 2AM.
I learned a lot from this short experience and it's only become the start of a photography hobby and encouraged me and some others (after seeing my shots) to keep trying around West Sussex to try and practise and try different techniques, durations, settings and locations! And I was very blessed to have stayed with my loving Aunt and Uncle again, there on the Isle Of Man.

Visiting Family On The Isle Of Man (October 2013)

I was supposed to write this up in October but I was busy and stressed out. But now's the perfect time to recap about how from 10th - 13th October 2013, I went on my first short adventure to visit family on the Isle Of Man. It's the perfect time because I'm returning there from 26th Nov - 2nd Dec to hopefully achieve some Astrophotography as tis' the season to snap the Milky Way... I hope.
So here I'm talking about how incredible and wonderful it was to visit the island again since I was little as well as growing more closer than ever with my Uncle Jim, Auntie Marelle and Cousin Rosie.

Bring Me The Horizon LIVE, November 2016 (My 7th Concert)

Bring Me The Horizon were EPIC as f*ck back on Saturday 5th November! I've been waiting since February when I purchased the tickets after getting stood up on my 2nd date with someone. Their recent work has been an influence on my life because their lyrics and music has comforted me and opened my eyes to things during Anxious moments in the year. I'm so pleased to have seen them with Kathy and I intend to see em again next time (with Syd from work). Anyway, check out my post with my YouTube videos of the show (too bad the playback quality sucks a little).
